Flashed Australia

Located in Armidale, NSW, Flashed Australia’s office is only a short drive to World Class bouldering areas Gara Gorge, Mt Yarrowyck, Stonehenge, Beulah and there are many other areas still waiting to be found. The operation is run by Todd Free, a Canadian in the process of becoming an Australian Citizen who has so far met the requirements to be a permanent resident. Previous to his career as a distributor for Flashed, he would fight bush fires in Canada, and the rest of the year go climbing. The dirt bag climbing lifestyle suited Todd and with some grassroots sponsorship from Flashed starting in 2000, he always had a wicked bouldering pad, some clothes and chalk so he could afford to live in his van for 6-8 months at a time at various climbing areas in the US and Canada. Moving to Australia full time in 2006 to be with his Aussie sweetheart Gretta, and in need of some employment he decided to be the source for Flashed in Australia and started Flashed Climbing Australia Pty Ltd that same year.

Currently he spends the majority of his time ensuring that other climbers have the gear they need, and the dirtbag climbing lifestyle has given way to responsibility and accountability.

Flashed has been making climbing gear in Calgary, Canada since 1996. Available in Canada, Japan, Europe, USA, New Zealand, and Australia. At Flashed we’ve tested and thrashed our bouldering products in many different ways and many different places around the world. We’ve also learned (the hard way) to focus on the little innovations to help the overall performance of the entire product by going the extra distance.

Flashed mats are designed by climbers, tested by climbers, for climbers. We know mats.
